OUR SKINCARE PHILOSOPHY

At Desert Perfect Skin the essence of skincare can be boiled down to three elements - moisturized skin, a healthy and intact skin barrier and hydrated skin.

By adding back ingredients to our face that closely mimic the skin barrier, Desert Perfect Skin’s Oil & Water Method addresses all three.

We use oils with an amino acid profile that moisturize the skin and target skin barrier healing and nourishment. For skin hydration, we use hydrosol plant water that has a pH close to that of the skin. It balances skin pH, delivers skin-healing plant compounds to the skin and it calms, cools and plumps the skin.

Paired together, our oil serums and hydrosols anchor hydration and moisture into the skin unlike anything else. The result - truly moist and hydrated skin and a nourished skin barrier.

For mature skin we also recommend emollient and occlusive oils and butters with an amino acid profile that effectively seals in the moisture and hydration and, therefore, minimizes trans-epidermal water loss.

Finally, we suggest only occasional and gentle exfoliation. Dead skin cells are actually essential to the skin’s retention of hydration.
